This communication is with regards to the battery replacement calls, which are getting registered from Multiple location.

During the testing of replacement batteries received from DO, It has been identified that 40% - 60% batteries are working fine.

Based on the feedback of replaced batteries, we request you to follow the process mentioned below before raising the tickets, which will

help to save your time of logging calls and also it will help to serve you better.

Points to be taken care for Batteries -

External Battery (which are unused by user) is getting moisture in some cases and not functioning as not keeping in dry place. It would be good if it can be keep covered condition by any Cloth inside carry case (ensure External Battery not kept outside or in open place for long time that too in wet weather condition, like Rainy season etc.).

Seasonal & Festival Greetings .........

Festival Greetings to all beloved ones ...................

Are the GDS not humans?

 Atrocious!  Without Compassion!

The Central Government has now refused any compensation to the GDS who die due to corona! Earlier, we were happy that at least the same amount of compensation viz., 10 lakhs was declared for GDS also. But now, the Department in the name of refusal by the Department of Expenditure – Ministry of Finance, ordered that no such compensation will be paid to the family to the deceased GDS!

There is no heart the Government! There is no compassion for it too! It wants the services of GDS also during corona times without any distinction; but if they die due to COVID-19, they will be denied this compensation! The Government is not ready to treat the GDS as human beings exposed to the pandemic! Shame!

We hope that the Trade Unions of Postal Department will not sit back and watch this injustice! For us the lives of regular and GDS are same and invaluable!

7th January 2021 is the 100th Birth Anniversary of Com. D. Gnaniah, a veteran leader of P&T and Central Govt. Employees T U Movement. He was Secretary General NFPTE for the periods from 1965 to 1970 and from 1976 to 1978.

He signed the historic bonus agreement on 14.3.1980 as Leader Staff Side, JCM on behalf of NFPTE.

He was dismissed from service once, suspended twice and retired compulsorily once for trade union activities. He was a a very effective orator in many languages including Tamil, English and Hindi.

After retirement he wrote several books. In fact, he continued to write till his death at the age of 96. He could not think of taking rest without any work. Some of his books like Islam and India, and Dalits of India and Obamas of America were very widely read and appreciated.
