Postal Department makes special arrangements for posting of Rakhi Mail

Special posting counters are being set up in 34 important Post Offices of Delhi and 02 RMS Offices

Rakhi Festival falls on 22-08-2021 this year. Department of Posts has made special arrangements for handling of Rakhi Mails. Office of Chief Postmaster General Delhi Circle, Department of Posts, said in a statement that Special arrangements have been made upto 16.08.2021 for posting of Rakhi Mail for other states and upto 17.8.2021 for posting of Rakhi mail within Delhi.Special posting counters are being set up in 34 important Post Offices of Delhi and 02 RMS Offices, i.e. Delhi Railway Station & New Delhi Railway Station during this period.

To avoid last minute rush, customers have been advised to post Rakhi well in time.

Procedure for issuance of ATM card on PO Savings Account standing at branch post office


  • To avail ATM card facility, account holder shall fill SB-ATM,I form (ATM Card/ Internet/ Mobile/ SMS banking service request form) duly signed and submit SB-ATM-l form with passbook at concerned BO.
  • GDS BPM shall examine form and issue SB-28 receipt to the account holder for passbook collected.
  • GDS BPM shall send SB-ATMI form with passbook to respective account office duly entered in BO Journal/BO Daily Account.
  • After receipt of SB-ATMI form with passbook at account office, postmaster shall examine the form for eligibility of account holder for ATM card.
  • After issuance of ATM card, SPM shall keep SB-ATMI form in Guard File of SB-ATMI form.
  • On ATM Card issue register, SPM shall write the name of BO and date of dispatch of ATM card to BO and sign.
  • SPM shall put a remark on customer's PO Savings Account passbook for issuance of ATM card and sign.
  • SPM shall dispatch ATM card and passbook to concerned branch post office duly entered in BO slip.
  • On receipt of ATM card and passbook from account office, GDS BPM shall hand over the ATM card/passbook to the depositor under receipt on SB- 28, after taking back depositor's copy ofSB-28 and paste on the office copy.

Note: - PO Savings Account holder(s) of BO may also submit ATM request form along with passbook at account office and account office shall process the request as prescribed.

Com.Raavi Sivannarayana - Rememberance day - 25-07-2021 - Guntur

A remembrance meeting on the occasion of  first death anniversary of Com.R.Sivannarayana, All India President, AIPEU GrC CHQ  has been  held on 25-07-2021 in Guntur, organized by NFPE - Guntur. 

Com.M.A.Gafoor, former MLA & CITU State Secretary., Com.K.S.LakshmanaRao, former MLC & CITU State Committee, Com.B.Sridhar Babu, C/S Gr.C., A.P Circle, Com.Ch.Vidya Sagar, C/S., P-4., Com.M.Srinivasarao, C/S., AIPEU GDS, Com. N.Nageswararao, AIPRPA., Com. Sambasivarao, Veteran Leader, BSNL and many leaders were present and remember the services of Com.R.Sivannaraya for the NFPE unions and downtrodden people in Guntur.

And also Com.K. Masthan Rao., former Dy. Circle Secretary, P-4, A.P., Com.Y.Nagabhushanam, R-III., AIPRPA & Casual Union Leader of NFPE were also remembered. These two comrades lost their lives due to Covid-19 and their family members.

All the three leaders belongs to Guntur District.
