Postal workers are not likely to be pleased by
this, but the government has opened an e-Greetings website as part of its
Digital India initiative in the hope that people will use this eco-friendly way
to wish friends, colleagues and loved ones. You simply have to go to the online
portal, pick an e-card which catches your eye, customize it and then send it
via email.
The e-Greetings cards are separated into four
main sections covering Heritage, Celebration, Glimpses of India and Festivals,
while each of these categories are further divided into even more sub-sections.
Once you’ve selected a card, you get to leaf through various personalization
options starting from the heading which can read e-Greetings, DEITY or NIC.
