NFPE & GDS (NFPE) filed a case in Supreme Court praying : Implementation of 1977 judgement and declare GDS are civil servants & scrap the GDS (Conduct & Engagement) Rules 2011 as they are invalid and unconstitutional .... Supreme Court directed the case to Delhi High Court .. first hearing was on 13-01-2014 and pleased to serve notice to Govt. & Department .... next hearing on 07-05-2014 ......

=== PAY COMMITTEE MEMBERS & TERMS OF REFERENCE AND OTHER MATTERS ARE TO BE DECIDED.

=== NFPE, AIPEU & -GDS(NFPE) & CONFEDERATION HAS ALREADY  DEMANDED THE GOVT. TO INCLUDE GRAMIN DAK SEVAKS IN THE PURVIEW OF 7TH CPC.

=== GOVT’S  STAND CAN BE KNOWN ONLY AT THE TIME OF ANNOUNCING TERMS OF REFERENCE.

=== IF OUR DEMAND IS NOT ACCEPTED WE SHALL DECIDE FOR AGITATIONAL PROGRAMME.

=== THE DEMAND OF THE CONFEDERATION  & NFPE IS :

1.PAY COMMISSION SHOULD BE GIVEN EFFECT FROM 01-01-2011.

2.MERGER OF DA.  

3.GRAMIN DAK SEVAKS SHOULD BE INCLUDED UNDER THE PURVIEW OF 7TH CPC & DA MERGER SHOULD BE GIVEN TO GDS ALSO.

FM: Prime Minister Approves the Constitution of Seventh Central Pay Commission; Recommendations are Likely to be implemented with effect from 1st January, 2016 

    The Finance Minister Shri P.Chidambaram in a statement said here today that the Prime Minister has approved the constitution of the Seventh Central Pay Commission.
            The fourth, fifth and sixth Central Pay Commissions’ recommendations were implemented as follows:

4th CPC                       1.1.1986
5th CPC                       1.1.1996
6th CPC                       1.1.2006

            The average time taken by a Pay Commission to submit its recommendations has been about two years.  Accordingly, allowing about two years for the 7th CPC to submit its report, the recommendations are likely to be implemented with effect from 1.1.2016.
             The names of the Chairperson and members as well as the terms of reference (ToR) of the 7th Pay Commission will be finalised and announced shortly after consultation with major stakeholders.

            TODAY MORNING (25th  SEPTEMBER) SECRETARY, DEPARTMENT OF POSTS INFORMED COM. M. KRISHNAN, SECRETARY GENERAL, NFPE OVER PHONE THAT CABINET HAS APPROVED THE GDS BONUS CEILING ENHANCED TO RS.3500.



      ORDERS WILL BE ISSUED SOON
