CIRCULAR / IMPORTANT MESSAGE
To: All Circle Secretaries, Divisional Secretaries and Branch Secretaries
Dear Comrades,
The Department of Posts has recently conducted a model exercise/testing of the online portal/software for membership verification on 25.08.2026. AIGDSU had already submitted its views and raised its objections on certain aspects of the proposed online verification system. Nevertheless, the Department appears to be proceeding with the system according to its own plan and convenience.
Therefore, online membership verification may commence at any time. We must be fully prepared at every level.
All Circle Secretaries are requested to immediately contact and verify the position of each Divisional Secretary and Branch Secretary under their respective Circle.
* Ensure that every Division and Branch is active.
* Confirm the contact details of all office-bearers.
* Activate inactive units without delay.
* Keep the entire organisational machinery ready for the verification period.
There should be no loose ends when the verification begins.
2. DIVISIONAL & BRANCH SECRETARIES – REACH EVERY GDS
Campaign should be organised:
* Taluk-wise
* Sub-Office-wise
* Branch Office-wise
* Through personal meetings and local-level teams
* Through appropriate social-media platforms
Every GDS should clearly understand the importance of exercising their individual choice during online verification.
The membership option will be exercised through the employee’s Employee ID and registered mobile number/e-mail, with authentication through OTP as prescribed by the Department. Every eligible GDS should be guided properly so that they can independently select AIGDSU as their Association

Comrades, let us take our message to every doorstep.
AIGDSU has stood in the forefront of the struggle for the rights, dignity, welfare and better service conditions of Gramin Dak Sevaks. We have never compromised on the genuine demands of GDS employees. Our organisation has made sacrifices and faced hardships in the course of our long struggle.
The present problems confronting GDS—targets, workload, harassment, financial accountability, service-related difficulties and other genuine grievances—cannot be solved by remaining silent.
Our beloved leader Com. S. S. Mahadevaiah also faced injustice arising out of the struggle and strike action. But such setbacks cannot weaken our determination. Our fight continues. Our organisation remains committed to achieving the justified demands of GDS employees.
Let us remember one basic principle:
Members are our masters. Their opinion is supreme.
We should not force, pressurise or mislead any employee. Our duty is to meet them, explain the facts, place the record of our struggles before them and enable every GDS to make an informed and independent choice.
False propaganda, rumours and misleading claims circulated by any organisation should be firmly rejected. Our work, our struggles and our record are our answer.
Every Circle Secretary, Divisional Secretary and Branch Secretary must treat this verification as an important organisational responsibility.
Reach every GDS. Contact every member. Activate every unit. Explain our struggle. Secure every genuine AIGDSU member’s independent choice.
